Shar Galarza is a queer Brooklyn native artist/educator. She specializes in painting, illustrating, embroidering and printmaking. She uses multidisciplinary mediums to create content around the theme of self identity, community, and activism. 

Her artistic curiosity has been prevalent in her life since she was a young girl. She has continued this curiosity throughout her adult life exploring what creating really means.

PUNTO.

Punto is a company, created by Shar Galarza, that is making points to facilitate revolutionary conversations. These conversations are being made through clothing products and artistic prints.

The word “Punto” is a Spanish word that means point. The word itself could be used in many different ways in the Spanish speaking community. It can stand for making a point in conversation, make a physical sewing point, and to end a conversation just like the word period in the English language.
